My office is at 700 Western Ave SW in Minot, and geriatric mental health is one of my specialties. My nursing background includes long-term care, and that work left me with a lasting interest in how people feel and cope later in life.
What we work toward is a clear picture of what is going on, a plan you agree with, and care that respects your dignity and your overall wellness. Getting older brings real changes, and they deserve attention, not a shrug. I can't promise how quickly anything will improve, and I won't pretend otherwise.

If Something Has Changed Later in Life
This page is for older adults in Minot and nearby towns who have noticed a change in mood, in worry or in how they get through the day. Maybe you have been told it is just part of getting older. That may not be the whole story, and it deserves a closer look.
You may be living with a loss, a move, a health change or long, quiet days alone. You may already take several medications and wonder how anything new would fit alongside them. Any of these is reason enough to talk, and we can look at things like:
- Low mood, withdrawal or losing interest in things you used to enjoy.
- New or growing worry about your health, money or the future.
- Agitation, suspicion or other behavior changes linked to dementia.
- Questions about psychiatric medication alongside your other medications.
What a Visit to the Office Is Like
Here is what you can expect when you come to the Minot office.
One Provider at Every Visit
This is a solo practice, so the person you meet at your evaluation is the person you see at each visit after it.
Time for a Long History
The first evaluation runs 60 to 90 minutes. A long life comes with a long history, and there is room to go through it without hurrying.
Plain Words, Your Pace
I explain what I am seeing in plain language. You can ask why I am asking something, or say "I'd rather not get into that today."
Your Medications in View
We look at how any psychiatric medication would fit alongside what you already take, and decisions about it are made together.
