Stanley is west of Minot, and you can be seen either way: in person at my office or by telehealth from home. Neither choice is right for everyone. It can depend on your schedule, the season, how you feel about talking from home and what simply feels easier.
You don't have to decide before you reach out. When we first talk, we can go over what suits you and why. Whichever way you choose, the person who hears your story at the evaluation is the person you see at every visit after it.

A Little About My Practice
My name is Agatha Thomas, and I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Nursing is where I started, and I now see teens 13 to 17, young adults, adults and seniors, including new mothers and healthcare workers.
My primary specialty is perinatal mental health, and geriatric mental health is another. Beyond those, I treat the concerns below, and each plan starts from your history, your stage of life and what you want from care.
- Anxiety, whether it is new or has been with you a long time.
- Depression, including low mood that has stayed too long.
- Trauma and PTSD, whether recent or long ago.
- OCD, including intrusive thoughts and rituals.
- Bipolar disorders.
Office Visits and Telehealth, Side by Side
A few things to weigh as you decide.
Coming to the Minot Office
Your visit is at 700 Western Ave SW, Suite 100, a drive east from Stanley. Sitting in the same room can feel more natural.
Telehealth From Home
You stay in Stanley and meet from a private spot where you can talk freely. Winter roads make long drives harder, and telehealth takes the road out of the picture.
The Same Provider Either Way
There is no one new to catch up on your story, because I am the provider at every visit, whichever way you come.
The Same Evaluation
In person or from home, the evaluation gives us 60 to 90 minutes to understand your concerns and shape a plan together.
How Care Starts, Whichever Way You Choose
Three steps, and the first one costs nothing.

- 1
A Free Call to Talk It Over
A 15-minute phone consult at no cost, where you can ask questions and talk through which way of being seen would suit you.
- 2
Initial Evaluation
Whichever you pick, this visit runs 60 to 90 minutes and costs $300, and you leave with a plan and a next appointment.
- 3
Follow-Up Sessions With Me
You see me each time, for 30 to 45 minutes at $125, to review progress, symptoms and any medication, and adjust the plan.
Fees in Brief
From Stanley or anywhere else, the 15-minute phone consult is free and follow-up sessions cost $125 each. Whichever way you are seen for it, the initial evaluation is $300.

Questions About Choosing How to Be Seen
How do I decide between in person and telehealth?
Think about your schedule, the roads and where you feel most at ease talking. We can sort it out together during the free phone consult.
Will I see someone different if I choose telehealth?
You see me either way. I am the only provider at Dakota Psychiatric Care.
What if the roads are bad in winter?
It is worth thinking about when you choose how to be seen, since telehealth reaches you wherever you are in North Dakota. If you need to cancel, please give 24-hour notice.

Not sure which way suits you yet?
Tell me which way you are leaning in a free 15-minute phone consult, and we can go from there.
