When the Drive Is the Hard Part

Telehealth lets you see a psychiatric provider without making the drive to Minot. Anywhere in North Dakota, your evaluation can take place from home or another private spot where you can talk freely. It is still a conversation with me, the same person you would meet at the office.

Some towns are a real drive from Minot, and winter roads can turn a long trip into a hard one. Sometimes the distance is not the issue at all, and getting out of the house is. Telehealth can be a good fit for:

  • New mothers who would rather not pack a baby into the car.
  • Older adults for whom getting to an appointment has become difficult.
  • People in Bismarck, Mandan, Valley City and other towns far from Minot.
  • Nurses, aides and other shift workers fitting care around their hours.

What the Telehealth Evaluation Covers

It is the same 60 to 90 minute evaluation you would have at the office, only without the drive.

What Is Happening Now

What has been going on, when it started, and how it is showing up in your sleep, your work and your time at home.

The Story So Far

Past treatment and how it went, what helped and what did not, and anything else from your history you are ready to share.

Your Life Where You Live

Your days, your work, the people around you and the distances you manage. Care has to fit the life you actually have.

What You Want From Care

What you hope care will look like and what matters most to you. Your answers shape the plan we make together by the end of the visit.

    Follow-Up Sessions

Sessions of 30 to 45 minutes to review progress and adjust the plan. How often we meet depends on your plan, and we decide it together.

The Same Provider at Every Step

Dakota Psychiatric Care is a solo practice, so I am the person you see for your evaluation and at every visit after it. Nobody new takes over partway through, and you never have to start your story over with a stranger.

Care is individualized and collaborative. You know your own life, and I bring clinical training and an evidence-based approach. What we work toward is a clear picture of what is going on and a plan you had a hand in making. I can't promise how quickly anything will change, so we keep checking in and adjusting as we go.

Fees in Brief
