Care That Fits Around Your Week

Mandan sits just across the Missouri River from Bismarck, and Minot is a real drive from either one. When your days already hold work, school runs and the rest of family life, a long trip for an appointment can be the very thing that keeps you from booking.

So care can start closer to home. Your evaluation can be by telehealth, from a quiet room at home where you can speak openly. Evening appointments are also available on request, and if you would rather come to the Minot office, you can do that too.

Who I See

I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, and Dakota Psychiatric Care is my solo practice, so you see me at every visit. I work with teens 13 to 17, young adults, adults and seniors, including new mothers and healthcare workers.

You may be holding down a job, running a household and keeping a calendar full of other people's plans, with your own health somewhere near the bottom of the list. Whatever has been building, you can bring it as it is, without sorting it out first. These are the concerns I treat.

  • Anxiety and depression, at any stage of life.
  • Trauma and PTSD.
  • OCD and bipolar disorders.
  • Pregnancy and the months after birth, my primary specialty.
  • Later-life concerns, including behavioral changes with dementia.

What the Evaluation Covers

Sixty to ninety minutes gives us room for the whole picture, not only the hardest part of it.

What Has Been Going On

When it started, how it shows up and what it is doing to your work, your sleep and the people you share a home with.

Your Week as It Really Is

Work hours, drop-offs and pickups, who helps at home and where the stress piles up. Your brain health is tied to all of it.

What You Have Tried Before

Past treatment, what helped, what did not, and anything you would rather not repeat this time around.

What You Want From Care

How you would like care to look, including how you feel about medication. Your answers shape the plan we make together.

Questions About Fitting Care In

Can I ask for an evening appointment?

Yes. Evening appointments are available on request, so mention it when you book.

What do I need for an evaluation from home?

A private spot where you can talk freely, somewhere you won't be overheard or pulled away partway through. Set aside 60 to 90 minutes.

What if something comes up at home and I need to cancel?

If plans change at home, please let me know at least 24 hours ahead. Canceling later than that, or missing a session, carries a $45 fee.
