Being Seen From Valley City

Valley City is in eastern North Dakota, a long way from my office in Minot, and winter roads make a long drive harder still. That makes telehealth the practical way in. Your evaluation can happen from home, without the drive.

I came to this work through nursing, across long-term care and psychiatric settings, and I am now a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I see teens 13 to 17, young adults, adults and seniors, including new mothers and healthcare workers. I treat anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, OCD and bipolar disorders, with perinatal mental health as my primary specialty and a particular interest in later life.

What a Telehealth Evaluation Is Like

It is the same 60 to 90 minute conversation, held from your own space.

What You Need

Somewhere private where you won't be overheard, so you can talk freely and say what you need to say.

The Same Ground Covered

We go through what brought you in, your history, your life right now and what you want care to look like. Being at home does not shorten it.

Your Pace and Your Words

You don't need the right vocabulary. You can say "I'd rather not get into that today" at any point, or stop and ask why I am asking.

A Plan Before We Finish

You end the evaluation with a plan you had a hand in making and a next appointment already set.

The Minot Office Is There Too

Being seen from home is a choice, not a rule. If you would rather meet in person, you can ask about coming to my office at 700 Western Ave SW, Suite 100. It is the same practice and the same provider, since I am the one you see at every visit.

Wherever you sit, we work toward the same things: a clearer picture of what may be going on, a plan you agree with, and care that keeps your overall wellness in view. How quickly anything changes differs from person to person, so I don't put a timeline on it.

Fees in Brief
